Andrew Cannon-Brookes, Global Head, Supply Chain Management, Standard Chartered Bank

Andrew joined Standard Chartered Bank on 1 November 2016.  He is based in Singapore, reporting to Matthew Kennett, global head, business efficiency.

Andrew has more than 20 years of experience in purchasing and supply chain. He was the director of support enablers and inventory management, defence equipment and support, at the UK Ministry of Defence. In this role, he was a 2* General ranked civil servant and reduced the UK Defence inventory by a third to £32bn, saving British taxpayers over £2bn while supporting 26 concurrent overseas military operations. Andrew also successfully delivered a £1.6bn logistics information services programme as part of this role.

Prior to being with the Ministry of Defence, Andrew held a number of key roles at IBM, including leading regional commodity councils and heading up IBM China Procurement, before ultimately running the Thinkpad OEM supply chain from Raleigh North Carolina in the US.

Andrew is married with three children, and is a keen sailor, golfer and skier. He is also an avid Leeds United football fan.
