Hans Melotte is executive vice president / president Starbucks Global Channel Development.
In his role, Hans is responsible for leading the Starbucks business and Brand experience outside of the company’s retail stores. Global Channel Development brings Starbucks to homes and on-the-go through Consumer Packaged Goods (at-home coffee & ready-to-drink) and Foodservice, available in over 65 markets.
Prior to this role, Hans was responsible for Starbucks end-to-end supply chain, as well as quality and food safety operations globally. Before joining Starbucks in June 2016, Hans spent more than 25 years in a variety of leadership roles in multiple regions with highly respected companies and consumer brands. This included serving as the Johnson & Johnson Chief Procurement Officer, and roles at Procter & Gamble and Coopers Lybrand.
Originally from Belgium, Hans holds a master’s degree in business from the University of Louvain near Brussels. In 2010 he was honored as Procurement Leader of the Year and in 2013 was named one of the Top Most Influential and Thought Leader CPOs in the United States. He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Supply Management from 2014-2018 and in 2018, Hans received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the World Procurement Awards. He is currently seated as Director on the Board of Directors of LeadersUp, a non-profit organization that connects opportunity youth job seekers with potential employers.
