Jane is the Group Head of Procurement at British American Tobacco leading a team located in more than 60 countries, managing a spend of over £7bn and serving 180 end markets.
During the past two years she has led the organization restructure and digital transformation activities within Procurement, driving simplification and speed. In line with the company strategy to grow in New Generation Products, Jane has orchestrated an upgrade of the procurement talent base, to include the different skillsets required by new categories/products. To continue delivering value, Jane is a strong proponent of instilling the zero loss mindset in the supplier base alongside a focus on supply chain substantiality.
Her career spans several senior positions across diverse cultures, three continents and various industries. She started her career with Proctor & Gamble Marketing in China and later joined General Motors Worldwide Purchasing in the US where she led one of the earliest automotive digital activities in the late 1990’s. She then moved to Harman International, collaborating with the Engineering team to bring supplier innovation into vehicle information & entertainment systems. During this time Jane headed the establishment of a manufacturing footprint for Harman International in China. Following this she worked at Dover, leveraging company’s global synergy from more than 30 operating companies in a complex environment. Prior to BAT Jane served as the VP of Strategic Categories at BHP in Singapore where she led the consolidation/central management of global strategic spend during a period of major company restructuring.
Jane has an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management and she currently lives in London with her family.
