Born in the UK, a fellow Chartered Management Accountant and Fellow of the Institute of Directors with a BSc in Business and Management, Kristian Saksida started his career with Ernst and Young in 1991 in London and has also worked in healthcare, logistics and fast moving consumer goods. During this period he was also an officer in a Territorial Army Commando Squadron and attended Sandhurst and the Royal Marines Commando training centre.
In November 1997 he joined Solvay Pharmaceuticals in Southampton and was the finance director for the UK and Ireland until May 2003 when he was transferred to Amsterdam as the head of finance and resource management for the global R&D activities of pharma.
Subsequently in March 2007 he moved to Solvay Specialty Polymers in Milan where he playing a key role as CFO for the creation, transformation and growth of this business.
Since April 2014 Kristian has been the CPO for the Solvay group based in Brussels.
