Ninian joined Vodafone on 1 June 2009 as supply chain management IT director, and was appointed to the board of Vodafone Procurement Company in November 2009. From 2014-2016, he held the role of SCM technology director and was responsible for all technology sourcing in the company, including networks, IT and new product development. In March 2016, he was appointed director of group SCM and CEO of Vodafone Procurement Company.
Before joining Vodafone, Ninian was operations director for Royal Mail Plc, managing the largest workforce in the UK with full accountability for the delivery of Royal Mail’s transformation programme. Prior to this, he held senior positions in Cable & Wireless Plc, and was a member of the board of the Caribbean business unit and Trustee of the pension scheme.
Ninain was educated at Aberdeen University, Scotland, and holds a BSc Hons degree in geography. He is also a member of CIPS and a life member of the Institute of Directors. Ninian currently lives in Luxembourg with his wife, Philippa.
